Greetings readers. It’s been a while since I’ve updated here but today I have a special video and article for ya. It’s all about Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s latest and last Direct and my reaction/opinions on it. This video was so important that it reignited my hype for the game. Check it all out after the break.
So we got another direct for the super anticipated Super Smash Bros Ultimate. This will also be the last direct for the game prior to its release. I did a reaction to the whole thing in the video down below. I won’t go over EVERY detail in this article but I will talk about two points that I really loved from this direct.
Some details that were revealed included some new characters including Ken from Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Incineroar from Pokemon Sun and Moon, and strangely enough, a generic Piranha Plant from Super Mario Bros. Ininceroar was the character I wanted the most so I’m happy to see him be playable. Ken was an expected character mostly because of the Echo Fighter feature and is essentially a better version of Ryu. Pirahna Plant is nothing more than a slap in the face to fans who want nothing more than to see Waluigi get in. Sorry, Wally.
They also revealed the return of the polarizing adventure mode. The last Smash Bros game to have an adventure mode was Super Smash Bros Brawl back in 2008 in the form of “Subspace Emissary”. A thing I should mention is that Ultimate does away with the franchises’ iconic trophies in lew of “Spirits.” These spirits are going to play a major role in the story mode and act as buffers for your fighters in the different modes. The story mode, by the way, will be called “World of Light” and will start off with Kirby having to rescue the rest of the cast of Ultimate’s roster.
If you want to see or learn more about Nintendo’s final updates to Super Smash Bros Ultimate check out my video below and also come back tomorrow to see my analysis and round up for the Direct.
Thanks for reading and I’ll see you guys next time whenever I get around to writing another article.
